  • Alligator Clutch

This clutch is made from glazed Alligator from AMTAN (American Tanning & Leather). Color is Regal. Chèvre interior with one pocket, hand stitched with Amy Roke linen thread and edges are painted with Fenice. I used Brio reinforcement by Luigi Carnevali in the main body and flap.

Nice clutch!! How do you keep the gator from wrinkling when handling?

Thanks. The glazed skins are fairly stiff and have a little "memory" to keep their shape. Wrinkling isn't really a problem, with the glazed skins you kind of have to force some areas to lay down. I did a turned clutch once with a glazed skin, there might be a little wrinkling then but I think Peter and some others have used heat to gently iron them out.
